The?St.?Cyril?and?St.?Methodius?University?of?VelikoTarnovo?is?a?Bulgarian?university?based?in?VelikoTarnovo.?The?university?was?established?on?15?September?1963.?It?inherited?the?cultural?andeducation?traditions?of?Turnovo?Literary?School.?In?thefirst?academic?year, 25?professors,?assistants?andteachers?came?from?universities?in?Sofia?and?theBulgarian?Academy?of?Science.?The?first?subjectswere?Bulgarian?Philology,?Russian?Philology,?History?and?Art.?Theuniversity?was?founded?by?Aleksandar?Burmov?and?Penio?Rusev.
